Project Description
Texas Automated Buoy System (TABS)

Supplied one (1) RD Instruments 600 kHz Workhorse with Bottom Tracking used to collect real time oceanographic data for the oil spill response community.  The TABS Project also loaned Coastal's Workhorse to the U.S. Navy during the Ehime Maru recovery.
Complete: June to November 2001

TABS II buoy equipped with Coastal Leasing's 600 kHz ADCP being readied for deployment off of Oahu, Hawaii from USNS SUMNER.

TABS II buoy at Site N at the Flower Garden Banks coral reef sanctuary in the Gulf of Mexico.  The buoy is equipped with Globalstar satellite telemetry.
