Solely for the benefit of the original buyer, Coastal Leasing, Inc. (Coastal) warrants the products of its manufacture to be free from defects in material and workmanship.  Coastal will replace or repair free of charge, FOB its offices in Cambridge, Massachusetts or other location designated by Coastal, any part or parts returned to it (with the exception of the instrument housing, or any damage as a result of any failure of the housing) within one year of the initial shipment by Coastal, and which Coastal's examination shall show to have failed under normal use and service.

The instrument housing (including but not limited to the pressure case, end cap, connectors, fittings and exterior sensor elements), or any damage which is a result of any failure of said housing, is explicitly excluded from this warranty coverage.  The integrity of the housing depends on proper assembly, handling, and deployment by the buyer.  Specifically, the instrument housing must be protected including but not limited to preventing abrasion or other loss of its protective coatings, and must be held at an electrical potential relative to the water that will minimize corrosion (e.g. with an anode and/or O-ring grease).  Furthermore, if the instrument were connected to any external equipment, the connection must have been made in such a fashion that the protective electric potential was not diminished.

This is the ONLY WARRANTY GIVEN FOR THE SALE OF PRODUCTS OR SERVICES.  NO WARRANTIES IMPLIED IN LAW, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, SHALL APPLY.  IN NO EVENT SHALL COASTAL BE LIABLE FOR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES FROM THE PURCHASE OR USE OF COASTAL PRODUCTS, OR RESULTING FROM ANY DELAYS OR FAILURE OF PERFORMANCE OF COASTAL UNDER ANY AGREEMENT, OR RESULTING FROM ANY SERVICES FURNISHED BY COASTAL.

This warranty may not be modified, amended or otherwise changed except in writing, properly executed, by an officer of Coastal.
